Cairo – Sixteen months after the fall of President Hosni Mubarak, Egyptians are being called upon to vote on May 23 and 24 to decide who will succeed the president deposed by the revolution that broke out on January 25, 2011. Candidates for the succession are many, but through the confusion there are only a few strong figures capable of emerging.
