    On September 28th, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati addressed the United Nations and asked the international community to assist his country in hosting refugees. The history of fleeing refugees is one intertwined with the history of the Lebanon, and now the arrival of Syrian citizens has once again drawn attention to the issue. “The Lebanon cannot alone manage the growing number of migrants,” said Mikati, “and support at all levels is needed. The consequences of the Syrian security crisis, threaten stability in the Middle East and in particular in the Lebanon.”
