Things in Istanbul change very quickly, even though we know several hostels were students stayed in the past years, they may be closed or quite different at the moment. This for, he organization  suggest you to check through the web, there are hundreds of options to spend a nice week in Istanbul at decent prices.

Still, we reccomend to book a room nearby Taksim Square, which is the business and entertainment centre of the city. Even if Takism area  is quite busy, there are frequent and free shuttles to Bilgi University from Taksim Square (it’s less than 15 minutes). Sultanhamet, Istanbul’s historical district, is more suitable for tourists than students attending a conference at Bilgi. Eventually, the asian side of the city is way too far from Bilgi, so please consider this issue before booking.

Transportation: Besides the buses and other public transport, the SantralIstanbul Campus is accessible by the University’s shuttle service, which connects the university to the city.

Note: May 19 is national Istanbul, so Bilgi shuttles from Takism are not working. In case we can’t provide alternative transportation, you may need to take a taxi or regular public transportation.

Santral Campus-Taksim shuttle buses leave half-hourly between 09.30-19.30 on Saturdays and hourly on Sundays. Please check here: http://www.bilgi.edu.tr/pages/statics.asp?id=44&mmi=44&stbl=sub16&lid=en
